March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day. The date of March 21 is not accidental, it symbolizes the unique for people with Down syndrome the presence of the 3rd copy of the 21st pair of chromosomes. In Ukraine, about four hundred children are born with this diagnosis every year. Celebrating this Day is an important step in protecting the rights and dignity of people with Down Syndrome worldwide, highlighting people’s indifference.
