MAIN PURPOSE OF SAND THERAPY – realization of social and psychological rehabilitation of children and adolescents with disabilities through creative activity (sand drawing). The advantage of this approach is that by drawing in the sand, one relaxes and rests. And it relieves stress, internal clamps, negative emotions. The structure of the sand attracts. Sand is made up of the smallest grains. From them you can create anything you want. Drawing sand, the development of fine motor skills. This process improves memory, develops coordination, plasticity, improves brain function. Contacting the fingers with sand, the nerve endings send signals to the brain and begin to stimulate its work. Drawing occurs directly with the fingers on the sand, which promotes the development of sensory senses, unleashes and harmonizes, as well as promotes the development of two hemispheres.
